Child Development program

The Child Development program follows a morning schedule that begins at 8:30* am and ends at 12:30* pm. Each room caters to a particular age range and maintains above standard adult/child ratios. Children are placed in rooms based on their age at the time of enrolment.

Twinkle Room (Infants 3 months – 11 months)

Infants – non mobile infants are cared for through a personalized routine that is followed by our caring and trained caregivers, which include a qualified nurse, in an environment that is safe and familiar. Parents share the needs of their infants with us during our settling in period and routines are followed as per the guidelines of the parents. Care givers meet each infant’s sleeping, feeding and diapering needs in the Twinkle room with compassion and kindnesss. Each family receives a Daily Diary, which is filled in by the caregivers each day so that parents are informed of everything they need to know to continue the care of their children while at home.

Star Room (Twos)

Once children are confidently mobile and moving around, they transition into the toddler Star room. Though routines still maintain an individualized feature as needed in the Star room, toddlers are slowly more able to participate in small group activities & experiences. Thus a developmentally appropriate range of small group experiences are offered. Children at the stage of development are true sensory explorers and are piecing together knowledge through the varied experiences they encounter, and so opportunities for sensory exploration and body movement are emphasized in the Star room.

Sky Room (Toddlers 2 - 3 years)

Here we promote independence through child centered as well as teacher initiated activities throughout the day. Children are encouraged to practice and develop their fine motor skills through arts, crafts activities and other developmentally appropriate activities. At this stage of development, independence is practice and cultivated through skills such as self feeding, hand washing and assisting with clean up after play. These skills are introduced in a way so that children gain pride in their expanding abilities. Through small and large group experiences, like circle time, children in this room are introduced to social skills and an awareness of self and others. Language and pre-Math and pre-Science concepts of introduced by various developmentally appropriate activities; including story time, songs and rhythms, music and movement, and play based experimentation & exploring.

Preschool Rooms – Rainbow & Moon (3 to 4 years)

In the Preschool rooms, children are exposed to numbers, letters, and shapes. And, more important, they learn how to socialize — get along with other children, share, and contribute to circle time. In addition to strengthening socialization skills — how to compromise, be respectful of others and problem-solve. The Preschool program provides a place where your child can gain a sense of self, explore, play with peers, and build confidence. Children discover that they are capable and can do things for themselves — from small tasks like pouring their own juice and helping set snack tables to tackling bigger issues like making decisions about how to spend their free time.

Kindergarten Rooms – KG Comets (4 years +)

We prepare our children for the formal schooling that they are going to get in the next ten years of their life. We implement a well designed and tested approach towards learning and retaining. We offer self-help activities in our day to day schedule along with the educational curriculum. This is the phase where children start to build their character. They get the basic idea of self-respect, attitude, creativity, and curiosity, challenges, knowing and tending to their own needs.
