About Us - Bright Beginnings Team

The Director and Founder of Bright Beginnings, Anisa Asad, graduated from Concordia University in Minnesota, USA with a degree in Child Development for the Early Childhood Professional and holds an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education and Development from Virginia, USA.  In addition, Mrs. Anisa also possesses her Certificate in Foundation Studies in Child Care and Crèche Work and Certificate in Sessional Crèche Work from NCFE (UK National Awarding Body). Through her 13 years experience in multi-cultured childcare and education settings in the USA, Ireland and Bahrain, and being a mother of three (soon to be four) herself, she has gained a true understanding of the needs of today’s diverse families.  Anisa’s personal mission is to support and educate parents,teachers, and bring awareness to the general public of the importance of the early years and the role they all play in providing the best for the development of the world citizens of tomorrow.

 

 

 

 

Abrar Adel Darwish, Bright Beginnings Principal and part-time Speech and Language Therapist, graduated from the University of Reading, UK with a BSc in Linguistics and Language pathology and is currently pursuing a Masters in Special Education from the University of Birmingham UK.  Abrar has also been awarded a Leadership Management Diploma from CMI - London.   She is a qualified Makaton signing instructor and a PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System) facilitator. Abrar holds extensive experience working as a speech and language therapist both in the UK and Bahrain. Through her 7 years of experience working in preschools and childcare settings in the UK and Bahrain and being a mother of a beautiful girl herself, she has gained the understanding and knowledge needed to run a Child Development Center.
A Center that meets international standards and provides children with the safe and nurturing environment they need to learn and explore and become the leaders of our future.
Abrar is a big advocator of the importance of early intervention in young children and encouraging children to communicate.  As part of Bright Beginning’s Resource Center you will be able to meet with Mrs. Abrar and ask any questions regarding your child’s language and behavior development.


Melinda (second name) is the Accountant at Bright Beginnings Day Care & Child development Center.  She is a qualified Office Administrator and has 3 years experience working in schools in Bahrain and the Philippines.  She has a son who is 12 and has been working in Bright Beginnings since 2007.  Melinda is also a qualified reflexology therapist, a skill we at Bright Beginnings wish she had more time to practice!

Sameera Mohammed Tarish joined Bright Beginnings in March 2010 as the Resources Manager & Events Coordinator  She 

has been a Early Childhood Educator for 13 years, which enables her to understand the demands of being a teacher of young children and the need to ensure a bright and cheerful educational environment in the Center.  Sameera's hope is to give all the children a wonderful experience in their early years experiences in Bright Beginnings.  

She is also in charge of many Center wide arts and crafts projects, one of them being the monthly theme board (take a look at Sameera's wonderful work on the big white board opposite the Administration entrance).  Sameera works closely with all teaching staff and the administration team as she aims to educate and nurture the development of the children in our Center.

"I enjoy my job at Bright Beginnings very much as it allows me to use my artistic skills when creating resources and materials to organize events at the Center. " 

 

ADRIENNE MARIE-THERESE ABBAS is the Administrative Manager at Bright Beginnings. She is from Ireland but has lived and raised her family in Bahrain.  Adrienne is Anisa's mother and has worked at Bright Beginnings since Anisa's departure to the USA, in June 2010, in order to support the development of the Center as a high quality early childhood and development facility.  Her role includes supporting the staff and parents to ensure that everyone gets the best from their experience at Bright Beginnings.  Adrienne also is the person responsible for applications and works closely with parents through the application process.

Our Early Childhood Educators includes a diverse group of teachers who are certified in Early Childhood Education.  The educators come to us with a variety of early childhood backgrounds, but they all have one thing in common-a love of working with children and a passion for teaching.  These dedicated professionals go through a training program that gives them a thorough understanding of the Bright Beginnings’ standards, curriculum and explores child care and child development issues. Teachers will engage in ongoing professional development workshops while working at Bright Beginnings, highlighting their dedication to young children and their families.
