The Director and Founder of Bright Beginnings, Anisa Asad, graduated from Concordia University in Minnesota, USA with a degree in Child Development for the Early Childhood Professional and holds an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education and Development from Virginia, USA. In addition, Mrs. Anisa also possesses her Certificate in Foundation Studies in Child Care and Crèche Work and Certificate of Attendance in Caring for the Child and Adult with a Disability from the School of Practical Child Care, Ireland, as well as a Certificate in Sessional Crèche Work from NCFE (UK National Awarding Body). Through her 10 years experience in multi-cultured childcare and education settings in the USA, Ireland and Bahrain, and being a mother of three herself, she has gained a true understanding of the needs of today’s diverse families. Anisa’s personal mission is to support and educate the parents of today as they face the challenges of being parents to the leaders of tomorrow.
Abrar Adel Darwish, Bright Beginnings Principal and full-time Speech and Language Therapist, graduated from the University of Reading, UK with a BSc in Linguistics and Language pathology and is currently pursuing a Masters in Special Education from the University of Birmingham, UK. She is also a qualified Makaton signing instructor and a PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System) facilitator. Abrar holds extensive experience working as a speech and language therapist both in the UK and Bahrain, and has experience working as a preschool teacher. Abrar is a big advocator of the importance of early intervention in young children and encouraging children to communicate. As part of Bright Beginning’s Resource Center you will be able to meet with Mrs. Abrar and ask any questions regarding your child’s language and behavior development.
Our Early Childhood Educators includes a diverse group of teachers who are certified in Early Childhood Education. The educators come to us with a variety of early childhood backgrounds, but they all have one thing in common-a love of working with children and a passion for teaching. These dedicated professionals go through a training program that gives them a thorough understanding of the Bright Beginnings’ standards, curriculum and explores child care and child development issues. Teachers will engage in ongoing professional development workshops while working at Bright Beginnings, highlighting their dedication to young children and their families.
